Finance, HR, payroll, ops, banking and multi-wing tracking — one price, everything included.
Comparison
How Sync actually compares
Not a sales pitch dressed up as research — real, sourced pricing and feature comparisons against the tools teams actually compare Sync to, as of September 2026.
What it actually costs
Priced for a real 10-person team
Same scenario, every option: a 10-person team that needs accounting, payroll and HR covered. Here's what each actually costs and what it leaves out.
Accounting (Zoho Books), HR (Zoho People) and 40+ other apps — payroll is a separate product on top.
Accounting + HR included, but multi-company support only exists on the pricier Custom plan — and payroll isn't among its listed apps.
HR only — no accounting, no bank reconciliation. Payroll is a separate add-on.
Covers accounting and payroll between two separate subscriptions — no operations, inventory or multi-unit tracking at any price.

Zoho One, Odoo, BambooHR and QuickBooks + Gusto are all legitimate, well-regarded products used by real businesses every day — this isn't a claim that they're worse software. The difference is scope: each was built around one department, so covering finance, HR and operations together usually means stacking several of them, at several separate bills and logins. Pricing above is publicly listed as of September 2026 and will drift over time — verify current pricing directly with each vendor before treating this as gospel for a real decision.
Scope isn't the only difference. Zoho One and Odoo are both broad, multi-app suites — genuinely powerful, but built with the expectation that someone configures and maintains them. Sync is built to be run by whoever's actually available: a founder, an office manager, someone with no accounting or HR background — live the same day, no consultant and no manual to read first.
The comparison nobody prices
Or maybe you're not running any of these at all
A lot of teams evaluating Sync aren't migrating off Zoho or Odoo. They're running a stack that was never one product to begin with — free or nearly free, and invisible on a pricing page, because the actual cost isn't a subscription. It's the afternoon someone loses every payroll cycle reconciling all of it by hand.
Handles the accounting fine on its own — but payroll, loan repayments and attendance deductions all live somewhere else, and someone re-types the totals across by hand every month.
Already bought, already on the wall, and connected to nothing. Payroll can't start until someone exports a CSV off it, or copies the numbers over by hand.
Fast, and the reason none of it is written down anywhere a new manager — or an auditor — could ever find it again.
Works fine until the person holding it is out sick, or two different numbers show up for the same balance.
Add it up and the real competitor isn't a $45 or $370-a-month product. It's four disconnected habits that each cost nothing on their own, and an afternoon every cycle together — and the only fix a spreadsheet can offer is a fifth tab.
Beyond this comparison
The table above is just the categories prospects ask about first
It isn't a scorecard of every Sync module against every competitor's changing feature set — that's not a claim about what they do or don't have. It's what's also included in the same one price, that a head-to-head table this narrow never gets into.
- Ask Sync — a built-in advisor that reads your real numbers and answers plain questions, with a daily brief you never had to ask for
- Inventory tracking, assigned per person or business wing
- Purchase orders, tracked against what actually arrived
- Contracts that draft their own renewals and amendments from a template
- A real recruitment pipeline, not a spreadsheet of candidates
- Performance appraisals on a recurring cycle
- Offer letters, NDAs and legal documents that draft themselves from a template, ready to review and file
- Company-wide announcements and reminders that actually reach the right person
- Segregation of duties down to the individual action, with a full audit trail on every reversal
- Real multi-currency accounting — each account, invoice and bill keeps its own currency, with automatic FX gain/loss tracking
Questions, answered
Is this comparison fair — are you just picking the numbers that make Sync look good?
Every figure links to the vendor's own pricing page (or, where a page blocked automated fetches, publicly reported pricing from independent comparison sites) — the sources are listed on the cards themselves. Pricing changes, so re-verify anything you're relying on for a real decision rather than trusting a static page indefinitely.
Are Zoho One, Odoo, BambooHR and QuickBooks + Gusto bad products?
No — all four are legitimate, well-regarded tools used by real businesses every day. The comparison is about scope and structure, not quality: each was built around one department, so covering finance, HR and operations together with them usually means stacking several products, several logins and several bills.
We already use one of these — is switching worth the disruption?
Only you can weigh that against your own setup. What Sync removes isn't the tool you're used to, it's the reconciliation between tools — a client payment that has to be re-entered from accounting into payroll, a headcount change that has to be updated in two places. If that reconciliation tax is small today, it may not be worth switching yet.
Can I import what I already have from another system?
Yes — import your client and vendor list from a CSV, and start an invoice from an existing PDF instead of retyping it. You don't start from a blank slate.
